A brand new series of Love Island kicks off on Monday (June 3) with a new set of Islanders hoping to find love in the Mallorcan sun. The hit ITV2 dating show is returning for its 11th series with Maya Jama once again taking centre stage as host.

12 singletons, made up of six boys and six girls, will enter the famous Majorcan villa tonight as part of the original line-up, awaiting the twist, turns, challenges and bombshells set to come their way as they compete to win the £50,000 cash prize.

But aside from the fresh faces set to grace our screens, there is also excitement surrounding the new and improved villa. Whilst it is the same property that has hosted the contestants in previous series, near the town of Sant Llorenc des Cardassar, it has been given a boujee makeover.

Each year, the villa is given a fresh lick of paint and is redesigned with new colour schemes, quotes and brand new features that are set to shake things up. This year, it boasts four outdoor lounge areas, a new kitchen, vibrant dressing rooms, sleek bathroom and a risky new Hideaway.

Mike Spencer, Creative Director at Lifted Entertainment said: "We are planning to turn up the heat this series with brand new format elements, an incredible group of Islanders and an insta worthy villa providing the most stunning backdrop for their summer of love. Strap yourselves in for Love Island series 11”.

Here we take a look at the major changes that have been made to the Love Island villa 2024 ahead of the new series tonight:

The kitchen has been given a big makeover this year. What has previously been a standard white kitchen with gold accents and quotes has now been painted entirely bright blue. You won't be able to miss the islanders here when they're making coffees for their partner in the morning or making a toast before the evening commences.

The main bathroom is shared between the boys and girls, and is often seen when the girls are taking their makeup off before they climb into bed with their couple. It has a tropical vibe this year with a green lick of paint and plants.

This is where the gossiping happens between the girls whilst they're getting ready for the day and night ahead. Last year it was pink and purple, but now its been transformed into an orange oasis to turn up the heat.

The Islanders are sleep in the same room with their couples each sharing a bed, but bosses have said that there will be some additional beds upstairs this year to provide 'more options' for contestants.

The Mirror reports: "Bosses have already told how they added more beds to a spare room upstairs to give “options” for bed swapping."

The fire pit arguably provides the most drama as it's where the Islanders choose who they want to couple up with, and has been known to be the place where many unexpected twists happen.
To make scenes even more intense, the area has been painted in black and white this year, and also has a moat that the contestants will need to cross to get to it.

In one of the biggest changes this year, the Hideaway is being opened up so that there is “no invite needed” for the contestants to use it - and it can be used by people who aren't coupled up too.

It's been dolled up with a sultry new look with a sign that reads 'naughty vibes' above the bed, as well as a private hot tub located outdoors.

Speaking to Grazia, a Love Island boss said: "At the moment, and this is very work in progress, you shouldn’t be in a couple to go in the Hideaway. Because sometimes, by default or by recouplings, you might end up in a friendship so the idea is that there is no invite needed, as long as you are not in a couple."
