Jet2 has announced new 'once-in a-lifetime' flights to a top European destination from Edinburgh Airport.

The airline will fly to Keflavík in Iceland as part of its new routes for winter. The decision comes following a growing demand for trips to the popular town - which is just 31 miles from capital city Reykjavik.

Jet2 is also launching services from Glasgow Airport as part of its expansion for the 2025/26 winter season, reports the Scottish Sun.

Jet2 will operate three dedicated trips to Iceland as part of the programme. This will include a four-night stay on November 26, 2025, another four-night trip on February 4, 2026, and then a final three-night journey on February 8, 2026.

Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, said: “We are delighted to be announcing this exciting programme of once-in-a-lifetime trips to Iceland from Edinburgh Airport for Winter 25/26.
