Man, 18, arrested on suspicion of robbery

An 18-year-old man from Totton has been arrested on suspicion of robbery.

It follows an incident in Wetherby Gardens, Totton, between 3.35am and 3.40am on Monday.

During the incident, it’s reported that two men approached and verbally threatened the victim – a man in his 20s – before stealing his electric bike.

A spokesperson for Hampshire police said: “Officers, who are continuing reassurance patrols in the area, would like to hear from anyone who was nearby at the time and witnessed anything of the incident.

“If you saw anything suspicious in the area or have any footage which may assist us in our investigation, please contact 101 and quote incident number 44240265139.”

The suspect remains in police custody and the investigation is ongoing.
