Man, 35, charged with murder after Barnet fatal stabbing

Police investigating the fatal stabbing of a man in Barnet have charged a 35-year-old with murder.

Stefan Stelian Moraru, 44, was found injured in Chandos Avenue at around 6am on March 20 and was later pronounced dead at the scene.

A post-mortem examination held on March 21 gave the cause of death as a stab wound to the heart.

On Sunday, detectives charged Migen Emilova, of no fixed address, with murder. He will appear in custody at Willesden Magistrates’ Court on Monday, March 27.

Police have also arrested three other men on suspicion of murder.

Two men, aged 46 and 39, remain in custody at a north London police station, while a third man, aged 29, has been bailed pending further enquiries.

Detectives continue to appeal for information surrounding Mr Moraru’s death. His next-of-kin are being supported by specialist officers.
