Man, 57, rushed to hospital following attack in Perth city centre

A man received serious injuries during a Perth city centre attack early Sunday.

The 57-year-old was taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee by ambulance.

The incident happened around 12.30am on Sunday, June 23 outside a premises on the corner of Mill Street and South Methven Street.

Emergency services attended.

Police Scotland are appealling for information.

Detective Sergeant Stan Gilroy said: “Our enquiries into this assault are ongoing.

“We are appealing for anyone who witnessed this incident, or anyone who witnessed or engaged with a group of four men and a woman in the South Methven Street and Mill Street area, to please get in touch. “

Anyone with information can contact Police Scotland via 101 quoting reference 0102 of 23 June.

Police have launched a double murder probe after the bodies of a man and a woman were found at a house. Paramedics made the grim discovery after being called to an address on Alpine Drive in Hednesford, Staffs., at around 12.30pm yesterday (Tue). Police were called after two bodies were found inside and a cordon has been set up at the scene while investigations are carried out. A Staffordshire Police spokesperson said: "We’ve launched a murder investigation after two bodies were discovered inside a house in Cannock.
