Man in his 60s dies at scene of Co Antrim collision

A man in his 60s has died following a road traffic collision in Co Antrim.

The crash took place just after 10am on Thursday, May 16, in the Springmount Road area of Clough near Ballymena. It involved a blue Citroen Berlingo.

The man, who was the driver of the car, sadly passed away at the scene while a female passenger was not believed to be seriously injured, police added.

In a statement, a spokesperson for the PSNI added: “The Springmount Road was closed following the collision but has reopened.

“Enquiries are continuing to establish the circumstances and police would appeal to anyone with any information to contact them on 101, quoting reference number 461 16/05/24.”
