Man arrested and another injured after fight outside Guildford pub

A man was arrested after a fight outside a Guildford pub that left a second man injured and needing hospital treatment. The incident happened late last Friday night (June 14) at around 11.30pm, according to police who were called to the scene.

The arrested man is 21 years old and has since been released on bail. The extent of the second man’s injuries is not known. An appeal for information related to the altercation has now been launched by Surrey Police.

A spokesperson from the force confirmed: “We are appealing for witnesses following an altercation between two men outside The Stoke Pub in Guildford last Friday night (June 14).” They continued: “Officers were called following reports of the incident that took place near the junction with Park Road at around 11.30pm which left one requiring hospital treatment.”

Anybody who may have information that could assist police in their investigation has been urged to contact the force quoting reference PR/45240067332. The Stoke Pub is north of Guildford town centre and is close to the southwestern corner of Stoke Park.
