Man Arrested for Indecent Exposure at Screening of Kristen Stewart's “Love Lies Bleeding ”in Detroit
The 33-year-old man was "taken into custody by officers for possession of narcotics, indecent exposure, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest"
A man was arrested for indecent exposure, among other charges, at a Detroit-area movie theater Thursday night, during a screening of Kristen Stewart's newest film, Love Lies Bleeding.
The Southgate Police Department confirmed to PEOPLE on Friday that they'd responded to MJR Southgate Cinema just after 9 p.m. local time the previous evening, "for a disorderly person who was intoxicated and refusing to leave the business."
"Upon arrival, officers encountered a 33 year old W/M subject who was passed out inside one of the movie theaters," the release added. "That male was subsequently taken into custody by officers for possession of narcotics, indecent exposure, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest."
MJR Southgate Cinema did not immediately respond to PEOPLE's request for comment on Friday.
Variety was the first to report the arrest and alleged incident.

Love Lies Bleeding stars Stewart, 33, as Lou, a gym manager in the 1980s who keeps mostly to herself until she falls for a bodybuilder (Jackie, played by O'Brian, 35) who's new in town.
The pair get tangled up in crimes connected to Lou's estranged father, Lou Sr. (Ed Harris), that tests their love for and commitment to one another. The cast also includes Jena Malone and Dave Franco.
O'Brian recently told PEOPLE that she found costar Stewart to be "laid back" and "freaking stoked" about the project, which filmed in New Mexico.
"When someone's been doing this for 20-plus years and is still really excited and passionate about something, that gives me hope for the next 10-plus years that I hopefully get to be in the business," she said, adding, "That was refreshing and fun and cool."
O'Brian and director Rose Glass also revealed the not-so-sexy work that goes into making a sex scene, in a conversation with PEOPLE.
"It's just so not glamorous, and it's really not that sexy when you're doing it. I mean, first of all, you've got a boom-mic guy that's got his microphone hovering over you while it's all happening," joked O'Brian.
Added Glass, "It is all quite unsexy, to be honest."
Love Lives Bleeding is playing in theaters nationwide.
