Man arrested over death of young dad Jack Trainner in Port Glasgow
A man has been arrested in connection with the death of Jack Trainner in Port Glasgow. Police Scotland confirmed this afternoon that a 23-year-old man had been detained as part of the murder probe.
Trainner was found seriously injured in the seaside town's Brookfield Road at around 9.05pm on Saturday, April 27, 2024, and the emergency services were contacted.
The 27-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene. Police Scotland later launched a murder probe.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "A 23-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the death of Jack Trainner in Port Glasgow.
"Police were called around 9.05pm on Saturday, 27 April, 2024, to a report of a man found seriously injured in Brookfield Road.
"Emergency services attended and 27-year-old Jack Trainner was pronounced dead at the scene.
"Enquiries are continuing."
