A man was bitten and stabbed in the hand after a fight at a mobile repair shop.

Police have released CCTV image of a man they want to speak to in connection with the incident, which began at the Mobile Workshop on Parker Street, Liverpool city centre, at 1.45pm on April 8. Two men were reportedly involved in a "dispute" at the shop before walking to nearby Cases Street, where one of the men bit the other on both his hands and used a small flick knife to stab him.

The victim, aged in his 40s, self-presented at hospital for treatment to his hand injuries.

An investigation to identify the suspect remains ongoing, and detectives have appealed for anyone who recognises the man in the CCTV to come forward.

Detective constable Declan Blackwell said: “This was a nasty assault that left a man requiring hospital treatment. The dispute occurred inside a store on Parker Street and has clearly escalated on nearby Cases Street when a man has sustained a stab wound to his hand.

“We believe the man pictured could have information about this incident and if you recognise him, please let us know as it could help our ongoing investigation.”
