Man has car seized after being stopped by Glasgow road cops

A MAN has had his car seized after being stopped by road cops in Glasgow's Southside.

Officers from Police Scotland's Road Policing Unit pulled the vehicle over in Govanhill as part of the force's summer drink/drug drive campaign.

Police say the driver allegedly did not have a licence or insurance.

He was charged in connection and his vehicle was seized.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Officers were carrying out vehicle checks in the Govanhill area as part of the summer drink/drug drive campaign when they spotted this vehicle.

"Male charged for no insurance and no licence and his car seized."
