Man charged in connection with death of Port Glasgow dad Jack Trainner
A 23-year-old man has been charged inin connection with the death of Jack Trainner.
The Port Glasgow dad was found seriously injured within a common close on Brookfield Road on April 27. Despite paramedics' best efforts the 27-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators have now charged an individual in connection with the incident two days after Police Scotland re-appealed for information.

Enquiries into the death are still ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "A 23-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the death of Jack Trainner in Port Glasgow.
"Officers were called around 9.05pm on Saturday, 27 April, 2024, to a report of a man found seriously injured in Brookfield Road.

"Emergency services attended and 27-year-old Jack Trainner was pronounced dead at the scene.
"The 23-year-old man is due to appear at Greenock Sheriff Court tomorrow and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
