Manchester City have reportedly identified a replacement for Erling Haaland amid speculation over his future.

Haaland has had two sensational seasons at City since joining from Borussia Dortmund in 2022, scoring 90 goals in 98 appearances. Across the last two seasons, he has already won two Premier League titles, the Champions League, the FA Cup and a host of individual awards including two Golden Boots.

Despite Haaland's success at City, there have been rumours over whether he will leave the Etihad Stadium this summer to experience another league. However, his agent Rafaela Pimenta has dismissed those claims, insisting her client is committed to the project at City.

If Haaland were to leave though, HITC claims that City are 'huge admirers' of Girona striker Artem Dovbyk and see him as a potential successor to Haaland. Dovbyk is highly rated in La Liga, with former Ukrainian coach Oleg Fedorchuk convinced he can play anywhere.

"[Dovbyk] can play in any top league," Fedorchuk said. "It all depends on the style of the team. He was the best attacking player [in Ukraine]. [He has] a lot of speed, outstanding physical strength and a good left foot."

Elsewhere, midfielder Mateo Kovacic is said to be attracting interest from Galatasaray this summer. The Turkish giants are keen to make additions to their squad after securing Champions League football next season.

Galatasaray are claimed to have had Tottenham midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg on their list of potential signings and Kovacic has become a new surprise target. That's according to Turkish outlet Fotomac, who claim that Gala will step up their efforts to sign Kovacic after setting their sights on the Croatian in February.

The report adds that an offer is 'being prepared' and the club are hopeful they can sit down with the Premier League champions 'in the coming days.' It is also said that if the Turkish champions fail to get an agreement over the line, they will look to get a loan deal for City midfielder.

The 30-year-old is still a significant player for Pep Guardiola and it remains to be seen whether he would be allowed to leave.
