Manchester City star Ederson is being linked with a shock move away from the club this summer.

Ederson recently helped City win the Premier League title for a fourth consecutive season. It was the sixth title that the Brazilian has won at the Etihad Stadium since arriving from Benfica in 2017.

The 30-year-old has been City's first-choice goalkeeper since his arrival seven years ago. However, reports are emerging that Ederson could leave the club when the transfer window opens this summer.

According to Fabrizio Romano, it's a "possibility" that Ederson could leave the Etihad this summer. It has been claimed that the stopper has a chance of joining a new club if a "good proposal" is offered.

The report states that clubs from the Saudi Pro KLeague are already showing an interest in signing Ederson this summer. It has also been claimed that the final decision will be left up to the 30-year-old on whether or not he leaves Manchester in search of a fresh challenge.

Ederson joined City in a £35million deal from Benfica nearly seven years ago. He signed a contract extension in 2021 that is due to expire in 2026, meaning he is about to enter the final two years of the contract.

The goalkeeper missed City's final day win over West Ham to secure the Premier League title due to suffering an eye socket injury in last week's win over Tottenham Hotspur. As a result, he will now also miss the FA Cup final against Manchester United this weekend, and if the reports are to be believed he may have already made his final appearance for City.

Rumours first emerged earlier this month that Ederson could be the subject of interest this summer. Saudi Pro League clubs were reported to be showing an interest in his signature, with Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson also mentioned as being a potential target.
