Man dead after flipping his car into river, ALEA

PIKE COUNTY, Ala (WDHN) — A Louisville, Alabama, man was killed after a one-car crash in Pike County.

According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, 66-year-old James Otis McCray was killed Thursday morning when his 2000 Honda CR-V left the road on Highway 130, hit a traffic sign, and overturned into a river.

Troopers say McCray was not wearing a seatbelt. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

The crash occurred approximately six miles east of Banks.

The crash is under investigation by the Highway Patrol Division.
