Man dies at Newton Abbot train station

A man has died after suffering a cardiac arrest at Newton Abbot train station. Police were called shortly after 2pm yesterday (Wednesday, June 26).

Paramedics also rushed to the scene but the man sadly died. His family have been informed and the death is not being treated as suspicious.

An eyewitness told DevonLive: "Police incident at Newton Abbot railway station. Air ambulance car in attendance."

British Transport Police said: "Officers were called to Newton Abbot railway station at around 2.03pm yesterday (26 June) following reports of a man suffering a cardiac arrest.

“Paramedics also attended however sadly the man died. His family have been informed. This incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
