Man dies in single car crash near Braintree

A man has died following a single car crash in Silver End near Braintree. The crash happened on Boars Tye Road just after 6.30am this morning (June 29).

Sadly, a 26-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. His family are aware.

An investigation is now ongoing and detectives are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision to come forward.

A spokesperson from Essex Police said: "A man has died following a serious collision in Silver End, near Braintree this morning.

"Officers were called to Boars Tye Road shortly after 6:30am this morning (29 June) following reports of a single vehicle collision.
Sadly, a 26-year-old man died at the scene. His family are aware.
An investigation within Essex Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit is ongoing and detectives are appealing for the public’s help.

"We are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed a grey Peugeot 2008 in the area at around 6am this morning and may have any CCTV or dashcam to contact us."
