Man who exposed himself to police officers is sentenced - Hull court round-up

A man who exposed his genitals to police officers at Clough Road Police Station and a man and woman whose dogs were "dangerously out of control" were sentenced by magistrates in Hull last week.

While some cases were adjourned to a later date and others sent to Hull Crown Court, magistrates still did not hesitate to hand out suspended sentences, community orders and hefty fines to offenders.

Here are eight people who have been sentenced at Hull Magistrates' Court in recent days.

Duncan Crombie, 60, of no fixed abode indicated a plea of guilty to one count of indecent exposure in which he exposed his genitals at Clough Road Police Station. He was jailed for eight weeks.

David Adams, 36, of Coverdale, Hull pleaded guilty to two counts of being the owner or person in charge of two dogs being dangerously out of control. He was given a community order and disqualified from owning a dog for two years. He was also ordered to pay £174 in compensation and £85 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service.

Chelsea Adams, 34, of Coverdale, Hull also pleaded guilty to two counts of being the owner or person in charge of two dogs being dangerously out of control. She was given a 12-month conditional discharge and disqualified from owning a dog for two years.

Joseph Browne, 26, of Marfleet Lane, Hull indicated pleas of guilty to one count of arson in which he set fire to a commercial wheelie bin belonging to Hull City Council and one count of the possession of cannabis. He was given a community order and ordered to pay a £200 fine and £100 in compensation.

Darren Smith, 47, of Rothesay Avenue, Hull indicated pleas of guilty to three counts of assault by beating against three police officers. He was given a 12-month suspended sentence order and ordered to pay £200 in compensation.

Grant Gill, 59, of Buckingham Street, Hull indicated a plea of guilty to one count of harassment in which he breached a restraining order by sending multiple WhatsApp messages to the victim. He was ordered to pay £85 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service and a fine of £80.

Michael Norrie, 36, of Valiant Drive, Hull pleaded guilty to breaching a non-molestation order in which he attended an address whilst being prohibited from doing so. He was given a 12-month suspended sentence order and a three-year restraining order. He was also ordered to pay £85 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service.

Rafal Rengel, 37, of St George's Road, Hull pleaded guilty to one count of burglary with intent to steal. He was given a community order with a 100-hour unpaid work requirement and ordered to pay a £114 victim services surcharge and £85 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service.
