An air ambulance landed in a field off the nearby Westfield Road as part of the emergency response. The alarm was raised at 12.40pm today.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: "We were called to a medical emergency at a private address on Wooliscroft Road. Two ambulances and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford were sent to the scene where, on arrival, crews found a man in a critical condition.
