Authorities in Georgia have arrested a man who they say handed paperwork to two officers that left them sick after they touched it, according to reports.
Little Gaston Stone allegedly recorded himself bringing in paperwork to the Smyrna Police Department in Smyrna, Ga., which left two officers who touched the paper with “extreme fatigue, chest pain, chest tightness, dizziness, and difficulty breathing,” The Atlanta-Journal Constitution, The Marietta Daily Journal and 11 Alive report, citing an arrest warrant.
Stone, 51, has been charged with two counts of aggravated assaults against a police officer in connection with the incident, online court records show. It is unclear what type of substance officials believe was on the paperwork.
The alleged poisoning incident happened on Tuesday. When Stone entered the department, he mentioned Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp while recording himself, the outlets reported, citing the warrant.
Stone first spoke with the clerk, the warrant alleged, 11 Alive reports. He then proceeded to speak with the two officers and asked for the police chief’s information, then handed them the paperwork to give to the chief, the outlet reports, citing the warrant.
Within minutes, the two officers who touched the paperwork began experiencing respiratory complications and were taken to the hospital, investigators said, according to The Atlanta-Journal Constitution, The Marietta Daily Journal and 11 Alive.
