Man killed in Paisley mobility scooter crash named by police
An 88-year-old man who died following a crash with two cars while riding his mobility scooter has been named by police.
George Johnston was taken to hospital after the collision in Paisley on Monday, where he died a short time later.
Sergeant Robert Mackie said: "Our thoughts remain with George's family and friends at this difficult time."
The incident - also involving a red Volkswagen Golf and red Vauxhall Astra - happened on Gauze Street at its junction with Silk Street at around 8pm.
The road was closed for around seven hours for investigation works to be carried out.

Sergeant Mackie added: "Enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the crash to contact us.
"We also ask anyone with dashcam footage of the area at the time to come forward."
