Man left with serious head injuries after attack outside pub in Leigh-on-Sea

A man was attacked outside an Essex pub which left him with serious head injuries. The attack took place outside the Oakleigh pub in London Road, Leigh-on-Sea in the early hours of the morning on May 12.

Essex Police were called at about 1am with reports that a man had sustained injuries to his head following an assault outside the pub. The victim was taken to hospital by paramedics for further treatment.

Now, the force are appealing for anyone who may have been in the pub or in the area around this time to contact us with any information they may have. Superintendent Shaun Kane said: “We will not tolerate violent behaviour in our communities, and our investigation into this incident is well underway.
