For those on a mission to shed weight or banish belly fat, there's an uncomplicated yet effective exercise that could help make a world of difference. Just taking a daily walk has proven to reshape your physique in a matter of day, as evidenced by one TikTok user's experience.

On the video-sharing app, an account by the name of @Caloriecountingclub uploaded a video a man who documented his body's transformation. He shared clips of what he looked like before and after he committed to walking 10,000 steps each day for a month.

The man declared: "26 pounds of fat melted off by walking 10,000 steps everyday." Initially tipping the scales at 18 stone on day one, he managed to slim down to 16 stone by the end of the 30-day period.

By the end of the challenge, it was evident that the fat around his midsection had reduced substantially, and his face appeared noticeably leaner. To hit his step count goal, the man used a treadmill daily.

The TikTok post emphasized that the key was to incorporate the 10,000 steps into one's routine alongside maintaining a healthy and balanced diet. The impressive outcome garnered praise from viewers, with many leaving positive comments.

Curiosity about the method led Juls to ask: "Did you stay in a calorie deficit at the same time?" to which the account responded affirmatively, stating: "Yes, that's how weight loss occurs."

The conversation also inspired others to share their personal triumphs with their weight loss. User MKWolf commented: "I did this but 20k and for 6 months straight. I didn't miss a single day in 6 months and I lost 30 kg."

Jae confessed: "I loveeee walking! I try and get 10k steps 5 days a week and I'm down 30lbs." Lorna reported: "I have done above 10k everyday for 23 days and lost 8lb so far."

Meanwhile, Lynni announced: "I lost 20 lbs in 3 months walking 10 km a day." Peter said: "In 2 weeks I lose 10 lbs."

When queried about the method, they disclosed: "Calories deficit 15000 steps daily lift weights to maintain muscle mass. Trust the process I lost more 2 lbs haha it just calories deficit and 15000 steps easy just have discipline."

According to the NHS, walking is sometimes overlooked as a form of exercise. But walking briskly can help you build stamina, burn excess calories and make your heart healthier.

You do not have to walk for hours. A brisk 10-minute daily walk has lots of health benefits and counts towards your 150 minutes of weekly exercise, as recommended in the physical activity guidelines for adults aged 19 to 64.
