Man has 'part of his ear bitten off' during assault inside Essex pub

A MAN has had part of his ear bitten off during an assault inside an Essex pub.

Essex Police are appealing for information following an incident inside The Chequers Pub, in Rayleigh Road, Hutton.

It was reported that a man in his 40s had part of his ear bitten off during an incident on 11 May, at around 9:30pm.

A 56-year-old man from Hutton has since been arrested in connection with the incident. He has been arrested on suspicion of GBH with intent and is currently on bail until July 8.

A spokesman for Essex Police added: “Officers are appealing for information after a man was arrested in connection with an assault in Hutton last month.

"If you have any information, CCTV, dash cam or other footage in relation to this incident, then please get in contact with us.
