Man running down A38 sparks major emergency response

A man who was seen running along the A38 has been located and taken into the care of medical professionals. A large emergency service response was reported at Glynn Valley yesterday morning (Tuesday, June 25).

Police were called to reports of a concern for welfare of a man on the A38 around 11.40am. It was established that the man was running along the dual carriageway at Bodmin.

An eyewitness told CornwallLive there was a number of emergency vehicles in the area. They said: "4 police cars, forensics, 2 ambulances at a bungalow just up from Bodmin crematorium. Currently ongoing, ambulance was telling people to move on but it was large presence of emergency services."

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police confirmed there were no forensic officers on scene. They said: "Police were called to the Glynn Valley area of Bodmin at around 11.40am on Tuesday 25 June following reports of a concern for welfare for a man.

"It was reported that the man was running along the A38. The man was safely located and taken into the care of medical professionals."
