Man sentenced to 15 years for intoxication manslaughter, sexual assault

TRINITY COUNTY, Texas (KETK) – A man was sentenced to 15 years in prison for sexual assault and two counts of intoxicated manslaughter in connection to a crash that left two children dead.

The Trinity County Sheriff said Treyvaun Demorris Corneilus Crawford was sentenced on all three charges and will need to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.

“During the investigation into the intoxicated manslaughter charges, evidence was discovered on the cell phone of one of the deceased children that Crawford had been having a sexual relationship with the child,” Trinity County Sheriff Woody Wallace said. “Crawford denied those allegations during interviews with law enforcement, however pleaded guilty to the charge.”
