A man has been left in a "serious" condition in hospital following a violent attack in Paisley.

The 55-year-old was set upon by two thugs around 5.10pm on Saturday afternoon as he walked along Causeyside Street near Forbes Place.

The duo hurled verbal abuse at the man, shouting at him as he continued onto Marshall's Lane, where their assaults turned physical.
