Man stabbed in Glasgow's Bridgeton as witness describes 'pool of blood' scene outside flat

A man has been rushed to hospital after he was stabbed on a Glasgow road near a popular park in the city yesterday .

Emergency services rushed to a flat on Tullis Street, not far from Glasgow Green, at around 6.30pm on Tuesday (April 30) after receiving reports of a stabbing.

A 27-year-old man was blue-lighted to Glasgow Royal Infirmary and has since been released.

A witness told Glasgow Live that he saw an individual sitting outside a property 'in a pool of blood'. Passing again later, they spotted forensic crews sweeping the area for evidence.

No arrests have been made but investigators confirm they are following a positive line of enquiry.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 6.30pm on Tuesday, 30 April, 2024, police were called to a flat in Tullis Street, Bridgeton, Glasgow following a report a 27-year-old man had been stabbed.

"The man was taken to the Glasgow Royal Infirmary and has since been released. Officers are following a positive line of enquiry."
