A man remains in hospital after being stabbed in Epsom town centre over the weekend. Surrey Police officers were called to Waterloo Road at 3.30am on Saturday (22 June) following a report of a stabbing.

They were then called to a linked incident on Alexandra Road where a man was found with a head injury. Two men were initially taken to hospital. One has since been discharged, and one remains in hospital with serious injuries.

SurreyLive previously reported that three men, aged 18, 21, and 22, were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and GBH. However Surrey Police confirmed today that they have all since been bailed.

Due to the incident Epsom Square was not opened until much later this afternoon (22 June). A number of shops were unable to open as normal.

Police are now appealing for witnesses to the stabbing to aid their investigation. A spokesperson for Surrey Police said: "If you have any information that might assist our enquiries, we want to hear from you.
