Man suffers head injury in supermarket 'confrontation'

Police are appealing for witnesses after a “dispute” in a Leicestershire supermarket car park led to a man suffering a head injury. Leicestershire Police said a confrontation took place in Rugby Road, Lutterworth, between two male drivers, and that one of the men, in his 50s, was pushed to the floor, causing the injury.

He was taken to hospital for treatment after the incident, which took place between 8.30am and 9.30am on Wednesday, May 1, police said today. He has since been discharged.

Police have not named the supermarket. Detective Constable Katie Burn is appealing for witnesses to the altercation to come forward. She said: “It is important we look to establish the full circumstances surrounding this incident, so I would like to speak to anyone who saw the events leading up to it or the incident itself.
