Man suffers head injury after vicious attack in Wolverhampton

A man has suffered a nasty attack in Wolverhampton prompting police to issue a CCTV appeal. A man in his 30s was attacked in King Street in the heart of the city centre on Saturday, March 23 at around 9.15pm.

The victim suffered a head injury in the incident and had to be treated in hospital. Detectives investigating the incident have now released an image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the assault.

He is white with short hair on top and none to the side of his head. He appears to have facial hearing and was wearing a hooded jacket.

In issuing the appeal, a spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: “| Do you know this man? We're continuing investigations into an assault in Wolverhampton's King Street on Saturday, 23 March, and want to speak to him.

“A man in his 30s is recovering after hospital treatment for a head injury he suffered in the incident at around 9.15pm."
