Man Utd star posts injury update amid crisis ahead of Coventry City FA Cup semi-final

Manchester United winger Antony has posted an update on his recovery from injury ahead of the FA Cup semi-final against Coventry City.

The Brazilian missed the Red Devils’ last match against Bournemouth in the Premier League last Saturday through injury, adding to manager Erik ten Hag’s injury problems ahead of facing the Sky Blues at Wembley on Sunday.

The nature of his injury has not been confirmed, but it is thought the player was forced to pull out of the final training session before the match against Bournemouth. Antony has since posted an update on Instagram, showing him rehabilitating in an ice bath.

Ten Hag will give an update on the fitness of his squad ahead of the last-four tie against Coventry, with United struggling with a defensive injury crisis. Their preparations have also been hit by claims of Alejandro Garnacho undermining Ten Hag on social media.

Garnacho liked two tweets from a YouTuber questioning his half-time substitution in United’s Premier League draw with Bournemouth. A United spokesperson told the Manchester Evening News the matter was dealt with internally, but declined to clarify whether Garnacho has been outright disciplined.
