An Edinburgh man has embarked on a mission to visit nearly every Wetherspoon pub in the city to determine which is the best.

The Reddit user, known as Top_Juice7860, undertook a solo pub crawl around Edinburgh, visiting six of the eight branches of the popular chain in the city in a single day. His journey took him to The White Lady, Caley Picture House, The Alexander Graham Bell, The Standing Order, The Booking Office and The Playfair.

However, fellow Wetherspoon enthusiasts noted he missed out one pub – the Foot of the Walk. The original poster confessed after several pints, he got lost trying to find the final venue.

Responding to comments, he wrote: "I was already 7 pints down and tried walking to Foot Of The Walk after Playfair and got completely lost. Next time I will go Foot Of The Walk and also that one in Musslebrugh."

One user suggested he could skip the missed pub, while another expressed envy over his pub crawl adventure. One wrote: "Fantastic! You've made me jealous and made me miss living in Edinburgh!"

Meanwhile another chimed in: "All nice looking pints."

The man revealed his favourite spots were either The White Lady or The Alexander Graham Bell. Asked which of the six he preferred, he revealed it was tricky to come up with an answer. "Hard to say but either The White Lady or Graham Bell, it's difficult."

In total, there are eight Wetherspoon pubs in Edinburgh, including The Sir Walter Scott at Edinburgh Airport, which also didn't make the cut for this particular pub crawl. Nearby Musselburgh is home to just one branch, The David MacBeth Moir.

Livingstone in West Lothian boasts a single 'Spoons, The NewYearField. Despite this, Edinburgh and the Lothians are not short of pubs, with Auld Reekie being one of the UK's most popular holiday spots.
