Galatasaray star Baris Alper Yilmaz can 'easily' play for the biggest clubs in the world, including Liverpool, according to former Turkey international Selcuk Inan.

Yilmaz, 24, has been subject of interest from the Premier League in recent weeks with Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United and Brighton & Hove Albion all said to have the winger on their radar. He has so far played a crucial role for his nation in the European Championships, starting in all three of Turkey's group games.

Galatasaray are thought to have slapped a £21million (€25m) fee on Yilmaz, with reports suggesting that Brighton offered £17m (€20m), which falls under their valuation. Lazio, Frankfurt and RB Leipzig are also eyeing a transfer while United were linked with a move in April and were said to be attracted to his versatility to play on both flanks and in the full-back position.

He has been likened to Gareth Bale due to his strength and speed by his former coach Ilker Puren. Yilmaz has been labelled as a special player who would easily fit into the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona teams.

Former footballer now turned coach Inan, said: "I think Baris Alper Yılmaz can play very comfortably for many teams in the Premier League at the moment. He’s a very special player.

"We worked a lot together. If Barıs Alper improves himself with his final ball, he can easily play for the best clubs in the world such as Barcelona, Real Madrid, Liverpool and Arsenal.

"He’s a player with a lot of potential. Hopefully, he will get that chance and represent them."
