Manchester United face a potentially busy summer in the transfer market with the summer window opening on Friday.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his Ineos group are set to conclude their review of the 2023/24 season this week with the future of manager Erik ten Hag to be decided. United will then turn their full attention towards the transfer market as they look to revamp the first-team playing squad after a disappointing Premier League campaign.

United's search for players will include two new centre-backs after the departure of Raphael Varane and a new striker. Anthony Martial's departure will mean that Rasmus Hojlund will be the only senior out-and-out striker in the club's first-team squad.

And Italian journalist Rudy Galetti has claimed on X, formerly known as Twitter, that United have submitted a bid of between €15/20million (around £17m) for Sevilla striker Youssef En Nesyri. He adds that the Moroccan has approved a potential transfer.

The 27-year-old was previously linked with United in late 2021 when Cristiano Ronaldo and Edinson Cavani were still at Old Trafford. En Nesyri has scored 20 goals across all competitions for Sevilla in 2023/24.

Elsewhere, Sky Sports are claiming that United and Arsenal are continuing to closely monitor Bologna striker Joshua Zirkzee. It is said that AC Milan are also pursuing him strongly this weekend after talks in London.

Zirkzee reportedly has a €40m (£34m) release clause on his current contract which expires in 2026. Juventus are also said to be interested in the Dutchman who netted 12 times for Bologna in 23/24.
