American YouTuber and streamer IShowSpeed was confronted by angry Manchester City supporters on Wednesday night after celebrating Real Madrid's opening goal.

The 19-year-old, who has 24.1m subscribers on YouTube, was filmed at the home end during the Champions League quarter-final second leg. When Rodrygo converted the opening goal IShowSpeed was seen celebrating, much to the anger of those around him.

After springing to his feet, one City fan sitting in front of the teenager can be heard asking him to sit down, to which he replied: "They are asking me to sit down when they scored." Another supporter then tells the YouTuber, real name Darren Jason Watkins Jr., to stop recording himself reacting to the match.

IShowSpeed is no stranger to behaving erratically to entertain his viewers, however confusion behind why he was asked to sit down could be because of the fact segregation between home and away fans is not commonplace in American sport. Due to away teams having to travel large distances for matches, normally supporters are allowed to sit wherever they want.

The internet personality is a self-proclaimed United and Cristiano Ronaldo supporter. In 2022, he flew to Manchester for the Carabao Cup clash against Aston Villa but was left heartbroken when Erik ten Hag chose to rest the forward for the fixture.

He has since travelled to Saudi Arabia to watch Ronaldo play for his new club Al Nassr. IShowSpeed has gained popularity in the UK after collaborating with KSI's Sidemen and has also played in the Sidemen's charity football match.
