Manchester United are being linked with several potential new signings ahead of the summer transfer window.

Erik ten Hag's side finished eighth in the Premier League table and ended their season with a 2-0 win away at Brighton. Now United will be busy preparing for the FA Cup final against Manchester City this weekend.

Victory for United would see the Reds secure qualification for the Europa League next season. A defeat would mean that the Old Trafford club would not have any European football at all next term.

With one fixture still to be played this season, United are already being linked with several potential new signings. The latest rumours concern the possibility of two new defenders arriving at Old Trafford.

According to 90min, United are showing an interest in Red Bull Salzburg defender Oumar Solet. The report claims that the Reds will be battling with Bayern Munich for Solet's signature this summer.

It has been stated that United are continuing to monitor Solet ahead of the summer transfer window. The Reds are prioritising centre-back as the area of the squad that needs reinforcements this summer, with Solet emerging as the latest potential target.

Elsewhere, United have reportedly entered the race to sign Ajax defender Jorrel Hato. According to HITC, the Reds are willing to battle with Arsenal to sign the centre-back this summer.

It has been claimed that United's scouts have been monitoring Hato's progress at Ajax for some time and have been impressed by what they have seen. As a result, the 18-year-old has emerged as a target that the Reds may consider adding to their squad this summer but may need to beat Arsenal to his signature to make that possible.

Hato would not be the first Ajax player to follow Ten Hag to United should he make the switch to Old Trafford this summer. Antony and Lisandro Martinez both signed for the Reds two years ago in Ten Hag's first transfer window as United manager.
