Manchester United predicted line-up vs Sheffield United as Christian Eriksen and Antony start

Manchester United will be targeting a much-needed victory when they welcome Sheffield United to Old Trafford in the Premier League on Wednesday night.

United, who sneaked past the Blades in the reverse fixture in October, winning 2-1, have failed to win any of their last five matches, with Sunday's FA Cup semi-final triumph over Coventry City ending in a draw before being won on penalties. United last won outside of a shootout against Liverpool in the quarter-final of the FA Cup last month.

Regarding their league form, United have not won since beating Everton 2-0 on March 9, meaning they are without a win in their last four. It means anything other than three points against the rock-bottom Blades will be another mark against Erik ten Hag's chances of keeping his job.

United, despite cruising into a 3-0 lead at Wembley on Sunday, were second best beyond the 70th minute, capitulating in dramatic fashion. Ten Hag lost more key players in the build-up to the trip to the capital, meaning he was forced to deploy Casemiro as a makeshift centre-back, and he could start there again against the Blades, as the Dutchman battles against yet more concerns.

However, Andre Onana is fit and available for selection, meaning he is poised to start in goal against Chris Wilder's side. The Cameroonian has played every minute of United's Premier League campaign this term and that trend is set to continue.

As far as the back four is concerned, a lack of options means United could start with the same quartet that lined up against the Sky Blues, meaning Casemiro could partner Harry Maguire in the heart of the defence for the second game running. Willy Kambwala joined Raphael Varane, Lisandro Martinez, Victor Lindelof and Jonny Evans on the sidelines in the build-up to the trip to Wembley.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Diogo Dalot should once again occupy the full-back berths amid the lack of options to make any alterations. Dalot started on the right and Wan-Bissaka the left at Wembley.

Ten Hag, however, faces the prospect of having to solve a fresh puzzle in midfield. Scott McTominay, who scored the opening goal against Coventry, is doubtful for the visit of the Blades, meaning the Reds are light on options.

Sofyan Amrabat and Mason Mount are poised to be unavailable again, meaning Christian Eriksen could bag his first start since the 2-2 draw with Tottenham Hotspur on January 14. Kobbie Mainoo and Bruno Fernandes, who is nursing a hand injury, should join forces with the Dane in the engine room, with Ten Hag hopeful Fernandes will be fit.

As for the front three, Marcus Rashford is a doubt after being forced off in the latter stages at Wembley. He was later spotted walking gingerly through the mixed zone.

Alejandro Garnacho also came off against Mark Robins' side, but Ten Hag believes he will be "fine" to make the squad. The prospect of Rashford being unavailable opens the door for both Antony and Amad to challenge for a starting berth and the latter would be more worthy of it, even though Ten Hag has favoured Antony over him in the past and could do so again.

Rasmus Hojlund should start through the middle and lead the attack.

United predicted line-up vs Sheffield United: Onana; Dalot, Casemiro, Maguire, Wan-Bissaka; Mainoo, Eriksen, Fernandes; Antony, Hojlund, Garnacho.
