Cristiano Ronaldo returns to Manchester United for only the second time tonight, five years after making his first return and nine years after he left for Real Madrid.

Since departing Old Trafford the Portuguese has notched 455 goals in all competitions, though he has managed just two in three games against United and only one in 14 against Jose Mourinho.

Having been dismissed against Valencia, there was a concern the 33-year-old, who joined Juventus over the summer in their bid for Champions League glory, could miss out on his return to England, but his suspension was kept to just the one game, served as Juve beat Young Boys 3-0 before the earlier this month.

A comeback win against Newcastle and a strong performance against Chelsea, where they were unfortunate only to take the one point, have fans looking up at Old Trafford once more and, while there will more than likely be a warm welcome for Ronaldo, they will want to see another attacking line-up from Mourinho.

Predicted teams

Manchester United: De Gea, Valencia, Smalling, Lindelof, Shaw, Matic, Herrera, Pogba, Rashford, Martial, Lukaku

Juventus: Szczesny, Cancelo, Bonucci, Benatia, Sandro, Betancur, Pjanic, Matuidi, Cuadrado, Dybala, Ronaldo
