Mandy Moore Channels This Is Us to Announce New Pregnancy: ‘The Third in Our Own Big Three’

Mandy Moore is entering her Rebecca Pearson era. The former This Is Us star took to Instagram on Friday to announce that she’s pregnant with her third child, and you’d better believe she used the opportunity to reference her Emmy-winning drama series.

“Sometimes life imitates art,” Moore wrote in her caption. “The third in our own Big Three coming soon. Can’t wait for these boys to have a baby sister.” This is Moore’s third child with husband Taylor Goldsmith. Their sons were born in February 2021 and October 2022, respectively.

That’s right, Moore will soon have two sons and a daughter, the same gender combination and age order as her three children on This Is Us — eldest son Randall (played by Sterling K. Brown), middle son Kevin (Justin Hartley) and daughter Kate (Chrissy Metz).

And that’s hardly the only This Is Us connection in Moore’s life recently. The actress is currently co-hosting a rewatch podcast alongside Brown and Chris Sullivan, who played Toby. The show premiered on May 14, with new installments rolling out every Tuesday. Episodes are available on Apple, Spotify, or wherever you get your podcasts. Video recordings of each episode can be viewed on the show’s YouTube channel.

Moore was also one of several cast members who congratulated Niles Fitch (aka This Is Us‘ Young Randall) on his recent graduation from the University of Southern California; his TV dad Milo Ventimiglia even showed up to celebrate Fitch’s big day in-person.
