Man's controversial tea colour chart sparks chaos as no one can pick perfect shade

If there's one thing us Brits are particular about, it's tea.

While some of us like our cuppas to be a rich brown colour, others like heaps of sugar and plenty of milk. It all comes down to personal taste – and no one can agree on the perfect shade.

This became very apparent when comedian Limahl Germain posted a tea colour chart on TikTok and said there was only one correct answer.He described number 8 on the chart as a "cup of milk" and insisted anyone that drinks it "can't be trusted".

He doesn't mind those who have their brew black, but those who use minute amounts of milk "don't make sense" to him. He believes it looks like a mistake you splashed any milk in at all.

According to Limahl, number three is "silly" but "fair enough" as there's a "little drop of milk in there".

He believes that dairy drinkers should stick to the colours shown in cups four and five. The comedian added: "I don't care what anyone says, if you have milk in your tea, that's how it should look."

If number six appeals to you, Limahl thinks you're "crossing the line". He describes it the normal shade you should expect when you ask for a "milky" brew.

Those who pick numbers eight to nine probably "don't like tea", the TikToker suggested. And he could have a point there as there's barely any colour in the cups!

But not everyone agreed, with some kicking back at Limahl's clip. In response to the viral video, one commenter wrote: "Five is the only appropriate response. Anything else, and I know that you don't like me."

Another quipped: "5 I want. 4 I'll accept. 6 I would reluctantly drink. Anything else, needs to be thrown in the persons face!"

And a third added: "Number 2 for me - I can explain… I was off milk when I was pregnant! And you can't dip a biccy in 1 but 2 you can."
