Margot Robbie, Colin Farrell to Star in ‘A Big Bold Beautiful Journey’ From Director Kogonada
Margot Robbie and Colin Farrell are set to star in the feature A Big Bold Beautiful Journey from director Kogonada, marking Robbie’s first role since the $1.44 billion grosser Barbie.
Imperative Entertainment is behind the film that has a script from Seth Reiss (The Menu) and is scheduled to begin shooting this spring in California. Plot details are scarce, but the movie is said to center on two strangers and the unlikely way that their paths align.

Producers on the project are Dan Friedkin, Bradley Thomas and Ryan Friedkin of Imperative Entertainment, in addition to Reiss and Youree Henley. Kogonada, Ilene Feldman and Original Films’ Ori Eisen serve as executive producers.
30 West is financing the movie and handling worldwide distribution rights with CAA Media Finance.
Kogonada is known for writing and helming the Farrell-starring 2021 feature After Yang, in addition to his directing work on Pachinko.
Robbie is coming off a memorable year in which she produced and starred in Warner Bros.’ Barbie. for director Greta Gerwig, in addition to appearing in the Wes Anderson comedy Asteroid City. She landed an Oscar nomination for her portrayal of Tonya Harding in the 2017 feature I, Tonya.
Farrell recently starred in The Batman and The Banshees of Inisherin, with the latter earning him an Oscar nom.
Robbie is represented by CAA, Entertainment 360, Aran Michael Management and Jeff Bernstein for legal. Farrell is handled by CAA, managers Ilene Feldman and Claudine Farrell and attorney Steve Warren. Kogonada is repped by WME, Ilene Feldman Management, and Daniel Passman and Tara Kole for legal.
