Mark Consuelos says men use “Terminator” vision to detect women's fake enhancements: 'It's innate in us'

Consuelos said on "Live" that men identify women's enhancements as a measure of what they're "going to be dealing with."

Overdrawn lip liner? Dyed hair? Heels adding inches to a woman's height? They're all clockable enhancements in Mark Consuelos' eyes, the morning talk show host admitted on Wednesday's episode of Live.

The 53-year-old and his cohost-wife, Kelly Ripa, kicked off the episode with a celebratory nod to National Compliment Your Mirror Day, which prompted Ripa to reminisce on using makeup techniques to make her lips seem fuller.

Consuelos, who recently revealed that his crotch set off an airport security machine and debuted a dramatic new buzzcut on the air, told his spouse that men have a Terminator-like sense of sight when identifying the things women do to enhance their appearance.

"We know she's not that tall, she's wearing six or seven-inch stilettos and the upper lip? She draws lines," Consuelos said, adding that it helps men identify what they're "going to be dealing with" if they further engage with the woman.

"[That] you're going to be dealing with?" Ripa quickly asked, prompting Consuelos to say it's vital for men to identify that they're "not marrying this whole thing," and to see the person underneath.

"It's innate in us," he added. "I'm glad that you have Terminator vision, but we can all agree, most men do not," Ripa replied.

Ripa has also revealed in the past that she, too, has identified hidden treasures among Consuelos' personal repertoire — including his terroristic snoring.

"When you close your sleepy little eyes, part of you comes alive," she said on the June 26 episode. "The dark-sided part, the you that wants to be seen comes out. It's like a werewolf meets Frankenstein."
