Mark Ronson Says Lily Allen’s New Music Is Her ‘Most Honest And Heartbreaking’

Producer extraordinaire, Mark Ronson, has hinted that Lily Allen’s new album contains some of her most heartbreaking songs yet.

Lily is rumoured to have split from husband Sam Cooper late last year.

The singer is now working with Mark on her fourth studio album, and is said to be sounding ‘incredible’ as she seemingly channels her heartbreak into new material.

Speaking to The Sun, the producer revealed: “We’ve been writing together again on the new record. I feel like they are some of the best songs she’s written.

“Her voice sounds incredible. The stuff I’m working on is some of her most honest and heartbreaking music ever. She writes so honestly you can feel it.”

He added: “She’s like a needed performer. There’s nobody really doing s**t like that, really honest.”

Lily was set to perform a DJ set at this year’s Glastonbury Festival, but did not attend due to injury.

She told The Sun: “I’m not going to Glastonbury.

“I have a hole in the back of my kneecap and it’s excruciatingly painful so I don’t think the mud is for me this year.”
