Mark Wahlberg's Wife Rhea Wishes 'the Husband and Daddy of Our Dreams' a Happy 53rd Birthday

Mark Wahlberg and his wife Rhea met in 2001 and married in 2009; the pair share four children

Rhea Durham is celebrating Mark Wahlberg's big day.

On Wednesday, June 5, Durham, 45, shared a series of photos of Wahlberg to her Instagram to wish her husband of nearly 15 years a happy 53rd birthday. Durham's carousel of photos included a Polaroid-style photo of the Arthur the King star and a picture of Wahlberg posing shirtless on a boat, as well as a sweet selfie the married couple took together and images of the actor posing with their four children over the years.

"💖🎈 Happy Birthday to the husband and daddy of our dreams 🎈 We L💙VE you infinity 🔗🫶🏼👩‍❤️‍💋‍👨🙏🏼 @markwahlberg 🎆," Durham wrote in a caption to her post. Wahlberg responded to his wife's post in the comments, leaving a number of emojis in response: "😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍."

Wahlberg and Durham first met in New York City in 2001 while the actor was participating in a press junket, as he told PEOPLE in 2010. At the time, the actor said the couple had their first date while attending a church service at Manhattan's St. Patrick's Cathedral.

"I knew shortly after that she was the one, but I still had to make sure that I was able to be the man I needed to be," he said at the time.

The couple later tied the knot in an August 1, 2009 wedding ceremony at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Beverly Hills, California. They welcomed their three oldest children — Ella, now 20, Michael, now 18, and Brendan, now 15 — before walking down the aisle. After getting married, the couple welcomed their daughter Grace, now 14, in January 2010.

Wahlberg most recently appeared on the big screen in March's release Arthur the King. He has two more movies, titled titled Flight Risk and The Union, set to release in the remainder of 2024.
