Mark Wright cheekily joked his 'mistress' stepped in to keep him company while Michelle Keegan was working away from their huge Essex abode.
The loved-up couple marked nine years of marriage on May 24 and have only recently been back in the UK after spending time in Australia where Michelle was working on her next TV project.
The actress is set to return to screens in the BBC drama Ten Pound Poms as Nurse Kate Thorne following the success of the first series last year and has spent weeks this year filming alongside her co-stars in Sydney.

But since returning back to the UK, the pair have hit the ground running with their own projects. But as Michelle teased she was back in front of the camera as her Brassic alter-ego Erin Croft as she took part in a photoshoot ahead of the sixth series airing, Mark was seen enjoying some quality time with someone else.
Taking to his Instagram Story, the 37-year-old shared a snap of him preparing to get tucked up in bed with the TV on and waiting for a decision to be made over what to watch. But Mark revealed he wasn't alone and joked their four-legged friend acts as his mistress while Michelle work's away.
"Wife being away for the night, means the mistress steps in," Mark quipped as he captioned an adorable picture of his pet chihuahua Pip snuggled up in his bed covers.
He then went on to share more adorable snaps and video clips of Pip the next day, as he took himself and the beloved pooch out for a ride in the car before settling at a local pub for a spot of lunch at a local pub. They then returned home to laze on the sofa after their sweet jaunt.
It comes after Mark shared a previously unseen photo of himself and Michelle as he publicly marked her birthday, just weeks after his gushing tribute on their wedding anniversary. The former TOWIE star took to Instagram last month as Michelle celebrated her 37th birthday.
The Heart Radio presenter shared a snap of himself and Michelle outside of Smith's of Ongar in which Mark could be seen planting a kiss on a beaming Michelle's cheek while she kicked her leg back in the air.
The Stockport-born actress could be seen sporting black blouse with matching trousers and a pair of towering red heels, while her trademark long brunette tresses were swept back into a ponytail. She also held a red rose in her hand as Mark gave a rare PDA while wearing a tight turtle-neck sweater, jeans and a pair of Chelsea boots.
"Happy birthday my queen @michkeegan," Mark simply captioned the post. And as mentioned this is Mark's second post in a matter of weeks showcasing his affection for Michelle. Last month he shared several snaps from their wedding day, from walking down the aisle moments after saying: "I do", as well as one from their honeymoon alongside which he wrote: "Best 9 years of my life. Happy anniversary babe @michkeegan."
