Marks and Spencer website crashes as customers hit with app issues

The M&S website has crashed this afternoon and customers are being met with an error message as the firm's app and online shop appear to have encountered technical issues.

At the moment, people are greeted by a photo of a woman wearing a green blazer, top and earrings accompanied by a message that reads: "Please bear with us. Sorry you can't shop with us right now.

"We're working hard to be back online as soon as possible."
