Married at First Sight bosses urge viewers to be kind to contestants
Married at First Sight UK has encouraged viewers to treat the reality TV show's contestants nicely in a social media statement.
Following a sustained stretch of trolling, bosses posted the graphic earlier in the week, which read: "Thank you, to everyone, remember our brides and grooms are real people, with friends and family, who are reading all your comments.
"We know this show can sometimes spark debate, but let's all remember to #BeKind. Thanks again. MAFSUK Team x".
While the MAFS team did not point the finger against any one kind of response to their contestants' performance so far, viewers have been very vocal online when voicing their like or disapproval of this year's couples.

Coincidentally, one of this year's participants Nikita Jasmine was booted off the programme for aggressive behaviour behind the scenes.
Reacting to E4's decision, she lamented during an interview with The Sun: "I am truly gutted to have left the show. I loved every minute of the experience but it was a rollercoaster of emotions, and sometimes they got the better of me.
"But that's me as a person and I am truly sorry for any upset I caused during my time in the experiment. However, I will always stand up for what I believe in. I can be loud and lairy, I'll admit that, but I try to be a good person and have others' backs.
"This can confuse people occasionally. But I do think I am misunderstood."

Nikita went on: "I also think it is very important to remember that Married at First Sight UK is a social experiment and not everyone going into the process will fall in love.
"I appreciate the amazing opportunity, I learnt a lot about myself and I would do it again in a heartbeat."
Married at First Sight UK airs Monday to Thursdays on E4 at 9pm.
