Martin Lewis said he would be watching his debut on Have I Got News For You from 'behind the sofa' as he admitted his nerves. The money saving expert was invited to be the guest presenter for the satirical comedy show on BBC One on Friday night.

He explained to his fans that he was nervous ahead of the show as it was a huge departure from his day job. Martin also revealed he didn't know what parts would make it into the edit.

He wrote ahead of the show starting: "OK I've got my flak jacket on, and am preparing to watch from behind the sofa, does anyone know where to buy skin thickener? - as I think I need it. I've no idea what'll be in the show, we record for over two hours, so who knows how it'll turn out. A somewhat petrifying experience #HIGNFY. Gulp."
