Martin Lewis says he did not 'take a swipe' at Maisie Smith
Martin Lewis has insisted he was not taking a swipe at Maisie Smith on GMB over her participation in Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins.
Smith was appearing on Good Morning Britain, co-hosted by Lewis, when the TV presenter and consumer advocate said: "I love that programme, but why would anyone do it?"

Lewis was then criticised by some on social media for his comment but the Money Saving Expert founder later took to Twitter to clarify his words, saying: "I didn’t take a swipe at anyone."
Smith has been appearing on the current edition of Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins and has been put through the wringer, at one point picking up a black eye after a fight with fellow contestant Ferne McCann.
The instructors on the show also called her "f***ing terrible" after she failed to execute a backwards dive into the ocean properly.

The former EastEnders star has recently spoken about the injuries she has sustained while filming the show: “Literally when I came out of the show my thighs were still dark purple for two weeks, they were still dark purple just from falling onto water from a height.
"I hit it so hard that the medic had to check I hadn’t broken my eye sockets."
She added: “I was absolutely battered, but luckily nothing was broken. I was fine.”
Among the other contestants on this year's edition of Celebrity SAS are former Brookside star Jennifer Ellison, Olympic springer Dwain Chambers and professional boxer Shannon Courtenay.
Smith first joined EastEnders in 2008 when she was just 7 years old and played Tiffany Butcher until 2014. She later rejoined the soap on a full-time basis in 2018 before departing again in 2021.
She made a surprise appearance on the show earlier this year to help Keegan Baker leave Albert Square.
Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins airs weekly, Sundays on Channel 4.
